UMBRELLAORDER
QR ordering for beach bars, from the sunbed to your team
At a beach bar, an order often starts with a guest trying to catch a waiter’s eye. When the beach is busy and the music is loud, that conversation takes more attention. UmbrellaOrder adds another way to order: guests open the menu using the QR code at their seat and send their selection to your team.
The aim is to keep useful information together. The guest’s location, selected products and order notes travel with the order, giving the bar, kitchen and service team a shared view of what needs to happen next.
Give every real location its own QR code
Start with the numbering system your team already understands. If the beach is divided into zones, choose names that remain clear during a busy shift. Each QR code should match the correct seating location in the application. Before putting it out, scan it with a phone and check the location displayed.
Place the code where guests can see it and protect it from water and wear. A short instruction in Greek and English makes its purpose clear. Keep personal service available for guests who prefer to speak to someone or need help ordering.
A menu that follows the working day
Categories, products, options and availability are managed in UmbrellaOrder. Describe what each product includes, then add the English translation alongside the Greek text. When something runs out, update its availability before more orders arrive.
Your venue remains responsible for checking ingredient and allergen information. A digital menu does not replace a conversation with staff when a guest has a specific dietary requirement or needs more detail about preparation.
Your team stays in control
Orders appear in the application and the order view. Decide who accepts new orders, who updates their status and who delivers them. Staff roles help you organise access within your own venue instead of sharing the owner’s login across the team.
Submitting an order requires an internet connection. Check coverage at the furthest sunbeds as well as at the bar, and agree on a service procedure for a connection outage. Guests pay at the venue using the cash or card methods you offer. Receiving an order does not confirm that it has been paid.
Test the whole journey before opening
Walk through an order from a real sunbed to preparation and delivery. Check the location, options and notes together with the people who will use them. Read the first QR menu guide, review the available plans and create your venue’s account when you are ready to begin.
